Communication Studies professor Danielle Leek and her COM 495 students have spent the past two months learning about elections and political communication. COM 495 is a capstone course, reserved for senior-level students.
A key goal of the course is to provide students with practice talking in public about politics,” said Leek. “To that end, students blogged within the class- and now, we’ve taken that blog public.
You can check out the students’ work, and offer your thoughts. Input can help to create the real world setting that students need to gain practice with their political voice. You can read more about the goals of the project in Leek’s introductory post.
Leek will also be featured on WZZM 13 tonight for election coverage at 5:30 pm. Students from her capstone course will also be in the studio helping to tally results.
