After a rigorous application and vetting process, our very own AdPR student, Devon Yousif, has been selected as part of the Most Promising Multicultural Student (MPMS) Class of 2020. Devon is part of our GVSU National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) team and is a member of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), both necessary qualifications to apply for the highly competitive MPMS cohort. Devon was nominated for the cohort by SoC faculty member, Dr. Robin Spring.
This program, from the AAF, is designed to intentionally identify promising multicultural students to help “widen the pipeline” of diverse talent for the industry. Part of the experience for Devon will be participating in a four-day immersive program in New York this February, where she will have the opportunity to network with and learn from some of the biggest names in the industry.
Leading companies, including 72andSunny, Apple, FCB, Google, IPG, McCann, Omnicom Group, Publicis Groupe, and Wieden+Kennedy consider MPMS to be a huge asset and valuable resource in their recruiting processes.
