GVSU Distinguished Alumnus is Coming to Campus for Lighting Design Event

Grand Valley alumnus Paul Collins (Master of Science in Communication 2008) will be returning to campus as part of the Alumni-in-Residence program on October 9th through the 11th. The Alumni-in-Residence program allows one distinguished alumni to come and stay for several days once every one or two years. Collins is coming to coming to Grand Valley to visit a few classes and lead the workshop “Performance and the Elements of Lighting Design”.

The Lighting Design event will take place at the Performing Arts Center on October 10th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Collins teaches Stage Lighting and Stagecraft along with other courses in the Theatre and Dance design and production curriculum at the College of Charleston. He has also worked on numerous performances for lighting design, scenery and lighting design, and scenery design/art direction.
