For the second year in a row, the Advertising and Public Relations faculty of the GVSU School of Communications will host the Superior Awards. The ceremony is set to take place on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. in the Mary Idema Pew Library Learning Commons.
Faculty and area alumni will award the top class projects from CAP 310, 320, 315, 321, 413, and 423. Students may submit work from Winter and Summer 2013 and Fall 2014 semesters. The deadline for entries is Thursday, Feb. 20. Entries can be turned in to the SoC office, LSH 290. The submission form can be found below.
Named for Lake Superior Hall, the awards will recognize student work that is “superior” in quality. Winners will receive prize money donated from area Advertising and Public Relations firms and companies.
“The Superior Awards recognize students who go beyond the basic classroom assignment,” said Frank Blossom, Affiliate Professor of Advertising. “During the ceremony, students will have the opportunity to engage with professors, alumni, and professionals while reviewing the work of their peers.
