The School of Communications is thrilled to welcome award-winning filmmaker, Sarah Price. She will be featured in a “Breaking Into the Biz- Women in the Media Industry” discussion on Monday, September 16. Price will be joined by other seasoned media industry professionals who will discuss what it’s like for women to break into this industry.
“Breaking Into the Biz- Women in the Media Industry” will take place from 4-5:30 p.m. in 030 of the Mary Idema Pew Library. The event is co-sponsored by the School of Communications and The Women’s Center. It is also Lib 100/201 approved.
This discussion will be followed by a special screening of her film “American Movie” at 6 p.m. in room 154 of Lake Superior Hall. Price will also be available for a Q&A session during this time.
Price’s work ranges from documentary to fiction. She has recently returned from shooting documentary footage in Afghanistan, and is looking forward to sharing her experiences with the students and faculty of Grand Valley.
