Student’s Mother Accepts Diploma

At a ceremony that was both sad and celebratory, Kyle Ackerman’s mother Sarah received his diploma from GVSU on Thursday, April 25 at the Alumni House.  Kyle, who was a Film and Video Production major with an emphasis in animation, died in a car accident in November 2012.  Several faculty spoke about Kyle’s talent, perseverance and positive attitude amid laughter and tears.
