Speech Lab Receives National Recognition

A new Speech Lab run by Professor Danielle Leek (Communication Studies) and student assistants will be recognized this weekend when Leek and two students present papers at the National Association of Communication Centers annual conference.

“This is Grand Valley’s first showing at the event,” Leek said. “Our two student participants, Brandan Bilski (junior, Philosophy & Economics major) and Bridgett Vanderhoof (senior, Theatre major) have been nominated for “Outstanding Student Paper” awards and will present their work at the convention.

Leek was nominated for the Joyce Ferguson “Outstanding Faculty Paper” award and will also present her paper at the convention.
