Students Take Fourth In Ad Competition Regionals

The GVSU student team competing in this years National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) took fourth place in the District 6 competition in Indiana this past weekend.

There were 19 teams competing in two tracks; we had ten teams in our track,” said Dr. Roy Winegar, the faculty coach for this year’s team. “We finished behind Purdue Calumet (1), University of Illinois (2), and Ball State (3). The teams were separated by fractions of points.”

Trophies are given to the top four finishers at the district level. GVSU has earned a trophy five times in the past six years, including two fourth place finishes, two thirds, and last year’s first place which sent the team to the national competition for the first time, where it finished 10th.
